Q. Do I need to make an appointment? 

A. You do not need to make an appointment, but we do take patients based on the severity of the emergency.

 

Q. What do I need to bring with me when I come to the clinic?

A. Please bring any relevant records from your regular veterinarian, such as bloodwork, radiographs or treatment procedures. We do not need proof of vaccinations. If you pet receives any medication for a chronic condition, i.e. insulin, heart or seizure medications please bring those as well. 

 

Q.How much is the office visit? 

A. The office visit is $90. We will provide you with an estimate before any treatment begins. Please note we do require a 60% deposit based on the high end of the estimate. (Example: If the estimate is $1000, you will be required to deposit $600).

 

Q. Is there a veterinarian on the premises? 

A. There is a veterinarian on the clinic premises during business hours.

 

Q. Do you have specialist doctors on staff? 

A. All of our doctors practice general and emergency medicine. We work closely with a number of different specialists in the area and your pet can be referred if necessary.

 

Q. Will I speak with a doctor when I call? 

A. The doctor cannot give medical advice without first examining your pet.

 

Q. Can I make payments or do you have a payment plan? 

A. Payment is expected at the time of service. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, cash and checks. Please note that all checks are debited electronically at the time they are written. We also accept Care Credit, you may go to their website for further information www.carecredit.com.


Q. Can you fill out my pet insurance forms? 

A. Yes, we will fill out any necessary insurance paperwork.

 

Q. How do I know if my pet needs to be seen? 

A. Your pet needs to be seen if he/she has difficulty breathing, seems weak or disoriented, depressed or is exhibiting any other uncharacteristic behavior. If you are not sure what to do please give us a call.

 

Q. If my pet has to be monitored overnight during the week (M-Th) when should I pick up? 

A. Monday through Friday the discharge time is between 7:00 and 7:30am. On the weekends the times may vary because we are open 24 hours.

 

Q. What types of animals do you treat?

A. We treat dogs and cats, and have limited facilities for exotics.

 

Q. When is it necessary to call animal poison control? 

A. It is necessary to call animal poison control if you believe your pet has ingested a potentially dangerous substance. Their number is (888) 426-4435 and they will charge you $55 for the service. You can visit the website at www.aspca.org for more information on what is and is not safe for your pet.
